Membership

The Northern Territory Area Consultative Committee brings together business, government and community leaders to link government programs and identify priorities and opportunities for regional development in the Northern Territory.

The Northern Territory Area Consultative Committee Chair & Deputy Chair are appointed by the Minister of the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development & Local Government.

Northern Territory Area Consultative Committee Members are expected to bring a commitment to solving regional development issues, capacity for leadership, business skills and ability to generate community support.

Members represent the broad interests of the region rather than any specific organisation or locality. This ensures that a balanced membership will be achieved covering regional interests and business and community representation.

Northern Territory Area Consultative Committee membership is regularly reviewed in response to the dynamics of the environment and to ensure strategic networks are maintained.

Membership is honorary, and members must attend meetings held quarterly at different locations in the Northern Territory.
